Congratulations on your new firearm.
Bought one of these a few weeks back. Have put around 500 rounds thru it, great gun. Any other owners out there with comments? I have 5 Taurus in various calibers, revolvers and semi autos, so I do not feel bad about buying another brand. Am very loyal to Taurus but I really like the XDM.

I have the XDm in .40 and love it. My daughter and I trade off using it. We just change out the backstrap inserts to make up for hand size difference. The .40 is a bit snappy for her but she's grown used to it. This is one of those guns that didn't really need a break-in period.
Downside: haven't been able to find much ammo for it lately.

The XDm was my first choice until I compaired the PT111. I still have my eye on a S&W .40...under $300 at Academy.
Now an FYI..I was looking at online ammo sites...Hornaday 9mm '25' in a box for $25.78 they had 43 in stock yesterday. A dollar a round!

I have the original XD in 40, it is one of my favorites and posibly the most accurate gun I own.

The first fullsize 9mm I shot was an xdm I rented at the range. This was just a few short months after purchasing my first gun, a pt145. I was still learning the ropes and getting better, and decided I wanted to try a big one. I loved it. It was way more accurate than me, and it made me look good. Needless to say, its on my short list.
I have a XDm 40 3.8 and a XD 45 tactical 5". I haven't owned either for very long but do love them both. I can shoot the XD 45 better than any other pistol I've owned. The XDm 40 is a little snappy and I'm not quite as good with it, but it is still a hell of a shooter.
I had a very sturdy XD 9 for a while. It was great, just a bit much to carry.

Nice gun.
Congrats on your acquisition. Not an owner, but I used this to qualify for my CCW. Must be a good shooter - I passed, and that was the first time I had shot a gun in over 5 years.

Got the XDm when it first came out, love it! The grip doesnt fit my hand as well as the original XD, the shape is weird, but ive always been a XD fan.
