    SP2022 first time out.

I took my SigPro and my oldest daughter to the range this morning to try out the new gun.

I'm going to keep this short and sweet until I get it out again. I think I had an off day, it's been a while since I last shot any gun.

Overall, I have to give the gun two thumbs up as it functioned perfectly and is very accurate.

The only other 9mm handguns that I've shot in the last two years have been the sigma and the 92. This gun is right in the middle in terms of weight. The ergonomics may take some getting use too, I think they are good but not great. The sigma has totally ruined me when it comes to ergos. The distance between the the back of the grip and trigger seems short to me. Perhaps I'll try the larger grip to see if that helps me feel it a little better. I'm use to pulling the trigger from the middle of the first pad of the index finger, but on this gun the first bend in the finger falls right in place around the trigger.

Sent 150 rounds down range in fine fashion. Three different types of ammo, Federal, UMC and Golden Sabers, all performed flawlessly. Mostly 8, 9 and 10 ring at 7 yards with a couple of flyers due to my terrible skills today and unfamiliarity with the feel of this gun. I was a little disappointed with myself, perhaps my expectations may have been a little high. I need to practice, practice, practice what I preach.

My daughter shoots the sigma better than the sig as she much prefers the DAO heavy pull. My initial thoughts when I started to shoot it were that I prefer both the DA nad SA pull of the PT92, but again, not a fair comparison after only one trip on a new gun vs. a gun that I have shot for many years. After I get more time with it, I'll post again, I might change my mind.

After hanging around the internet as long as I have, I believe this gun could easily be a dream gun for the right shooter. The single action pull is very easy and reset is short making this an excellent target gun. For those who live to talk about their "groups" this may be the gun for you. As I said up front, it is quite accurate indeed. The DA pull is long and smooth which in my opinion make it good for a home defense gun as well.

Sorry for lack of pics today, but it was way too crowded at the range and staff was quite busy so I didn't want to call for a cease fire to retrieve targets. As soon as I can, I will post up some pics.

Overall, I can't wait to try it again. I think it's a fantastic gun, fuctioned perfectly, I just wasn't quite feeling it today, but I think it's just me.

Two thumbs up for the sigpro!

Yeah those sigpros look pretty cool, and for the price for a Sig their a good buy other then their magazines are kinda pricey but oh well. If I ever come up across a deal on one I might pick one up. Alot of the sig purists dislike their polymer guns but I have a P250 that is decent, paid I think right at 400 for it and it had 3 mags a 357 sig barrel and night sites so can't complain about that

I have both the 2022 and 250 but in .40 s&w. The 250 is a sub-compact. Both are good quality guns, the 2022 does take a while to get a feel for. Sometimes changing out the pack strap can help, or other times confuse the issue. But once you get the feel right, the pistol is just that...RIGHT!!

As mentioned the big down side is the cost of extra mags.

I kind of went through that with my Beretta PX4 SC, came with a medium grip, I didn't like it, changed to the large grip shot it wasn't overly impressed, went to the small grip, didn't like that at all.
went back to the medium grip and a bit of getting use to it and its a keeper for sure!
i can put 90-95 projectiles out of a 100 in COM on a silhouette back as far as 25 yards, with a 3 inch barreled weapon, i'll take that.
just fit the grip that feels best and give it a few hundred rounds my friend!
