The MPA carbines run about $600, and the pistol versions are around $350 - although I wouldn't want the pistol. Which is the other thing established designs have going for them - you don't have to pay for all that innovation.
Dayum - almost $2K seems a bit steep. I may have to look into those Masterpiece Arms guns, tho.

Not to re-derail, but I find myself super-excited about Friday. I've generally bought 'affordable/value/proven' guns and while I've been been super happy with them so far, every now and then I want to splurge on something crazy. This is my first foray into something with a 'premium' pricetag, and if I'm honest with myself, part of the appeal is that I really want to hear what people have to say about my crazy new hole-puncher.

The Kriss is an interesting concept. The rear sling acts as a strap and works as an anchor point to steady the gun. It looks like you could conceivably add a butt stock to it on yuor own. I wonder how hard it is to convert it from semi auto to select fire? I am not recommending that anyone do that but this does look like one of those SHTF guns that could be converted pretty easily.
In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.

Every human being is different from each other. That fact, is precisely what makes us all the same.

Lets not over think common sense.

    Dardick model 1500... nuff said...

My review of the Dardick Model 1500 handgun - a magazine fed revolver - YouTube Yes it is a magazine fed revolver... and no I don't know what the heck they were thinking =p

I like the Kriss Vector as a full auto SMG if I were a cop and could carry a G21 you better believe I'd want one of these to... but as someone who won't ever go into harms way like that their cool concepts but a Semi auto pistol or rifle just makes it just a cool toy to me and a pricey one at that. I will say when red jacket did that show on "modernizing" a tompson (IE tacticooling it out like they drug it through the mall ninja isle at midway USA) cause the sheriff wanted a more "modern SMG that uses 45ACP" cause they had a ton of it...(and prolly issued G21's if they did) the whole time I was yelling at the TV "KRISS VECTOR KRISS VECTOR YOU FREEKING HAVE ONE HANGING ON THE WALL!"

There's alota unusual guns some I don't care for, the Rhino isn't TO bad but one really weird gun that the same guy who designed that ... thing... came up with was the Mateba Auto Revolver.... yeap a self cocking revolver the cylinder was mounted on a "slide" and the barrel shot out the bottom cylinder, but the fire control parts were on a "frame" and the "slide" half would blow back maybe an inch or two and cock the hammer... very weird but I think it would make a REAL cool movie gun =P
