    Bersa Thunder .380

I've been watching and changing my mind for many days about what to get my wife for valentines day. I had already decided to get her a pistol, but went through many changes to that as well over the last couple days. I started out with the PT25, then went to a LCP, and finally settled on the Bersa. It's in my truck right now, as I just finished paying off the balance at the local gun shop.

I took a good friend with me to the gun shop, and he pretty much backed my decision. Though all the guns I mentioned are of good quality, I am hoping the Bersa will fit the bill the best of the three. Also, the price was really nice. I know his wife has one, exactly like what I got my wife, and he said she loves it. It supposidly shoots very nice and is very accurate.

I'll provide a range report once i'm able to get my hands on some ammo. I'm looking forward to seeing her face when she opens the box to her very first pisol.

Don't you just love that warm and fuzzy feeling in the pit of your stomach that comes with purchasing a new handgun (even if it is a gift for someone else)?

I've owned 3 Bersa .380's (past tense as all 3 have been appropriated by family members) and have had great service out of all of them.

They have more features than the Walther PPK series at half the price.

That's VERY reassuring, and thanks. The only thing she mentioned about that pistol when we were in the gun shop the other day is it's size compared to some of the other guns. But, I think that will go out the window once she holds it, and gets a chance to fire it.

    Re: Bersa Thunder .380

my wife prefers to shoot my Bersa Thunder 380 than any of my other pistols. She just doesn't like racking it.
Have had it 4 or 5 years and it has been a dependable pistol.

Warm and fuzzy is not how I would describe what's going on in my stomach. LOL!!! It's easy down a little know though. I just hope she likes it. I wouldn't buy one for myself, but it's really not a bad looking little gun, and everything i've read and heard notes it's a very lady friendly gun, and reliable. We shall see......

    Re: Bersa Thunder .380

I just bought a Versa Thunder 22 and just fired the first 300 rounds through it. The balance is really nice. Its my first Bersa experience and I like it. Its the same dimensions as the thunder 380 and has all the same features. So if you want a good trainer I recommend it.

    Re: Bersa Thunder .380

I think once she fires it a few times that she will enjoy the weapon and it will work really good for her!
Small is nice but it also comes with consquences- more recoil, less acuuracy, less dependability, less to grip, and harder to clean and keep clean.
The size of the bersa 380 is a very nice hand fit for most everyone that uses one.

A buddy of mine has a walther ppk and when I had my bersa 380 I used to love messing with him with it because the bersa has less recoil is more accurate is more reliable and has a much better trigger then the ppk. He ended up buying it off me :P. You can buy custom grips for them to online to dress em up abit.
