Sorry, Taurus doesn't offer a .40 caliber revolver as far as I know. I'd be
interested in seeing one along with the .50 caliber too. Taurus did make a
.50 caliber at one time. .40 caliber on a Tracker frame sounds like a winner
to me.
Does Taurus make a .40 caliber revolver?
My brother has a S&W full size M&P .40 and wondering if he could get a revolver that takes the same ammo?

Someone here has a 40 cal snubby that I drool over every time I think of it. Probably like my 455, a discontinued run.
When Leonidas was preparing to make his stand, a Persian envoy arrived. The envoy explained to Leonidas the futility of trying to resist the advance of the huge Persian army and demanded that the Spartans lay down their arms. Leonidas told Xerxes "MOLON LABE", or "Come And Get Them."

You can get a Smith nightguard in 40SW/10mm if you really want one of those things!!!!

PS Almost forgot the important part,,, you'll need to drop a GRAND for one!!!!!!
A .40 cal snubby would be such a cool backup with a .40 auto. One can never have enough backup guns...
I'm all for Taurus making a 10mm/.40S&W revolver (like a S&W 610) but I think the barrel needs to be at least 4" or 5" to get the full benefit of the 10mm's power.

OH BOY, now i can get me some 40 cal half moon clips to go along with my 45 auto half moon clips.
or maybe the local gun shop can stock some 40 caliber auto rim ammo to sit right next to the 45 caliber auto rim ammo thta they have in stock.
really why would anyone want a 40 cal revolver, other than to say that I got one!?
there are already more than enough adequate revolver cartridges out there.

Some police officers can't let go of that 5-shot snub as their back-up firearm. Since mostly all Depts. are now using semi-autos, I can see some older, "wiser" officers craving a snub chambered in their duty load.Originally Posted by olfarhors

This is kinda off the original question [of which I believe Taurus does not offer a .40 S&W Revolver] but I would consider a 10mm revolver [of which you can fire .40 S&W rounds] as opposed to a straight .40 S&W revolver that you cannot fire 10mm rounds in. A true 10mm cartridge, arguably, offers potential velocity/KE gains in excess of the 45 Auto cartridge.
That being said, and depending on your reasoning for wanting a .40 caliber Revolver, I would spend the extra $$$$$ on a true 10mm such as Smith & Wesson's Model 610. That may however, not be in your budget, but worthy of consideration IMHO!
