Part of me is shocked at the idea of a Colt Cobra that isn't an aluminum framed lightweight revolver. More of me is just thrilled to see Colt getting back into the revolver game!

For the record, this is on my hip as I type.

It would be great to see Colt get back into the revolver business. Now if they could just bring back the Colt Royal Blue finish!

I will wait and see what transpires first for a few months or a year after it actually is in production. Colt has been out of the revolver biz with a few exceptions for quite awhile.

I do hope the revolver is a success. I have two Taurus 856s, six shot, snub revolvers due to Colt stopping production of the Detective Special brethren. The 856s are great carry pieces. So is the Rossi 462. 856s are out of production and been so for some time now.

With Kimber's K6 out and about for awhile the Colt will have stiff competition. If anyone has a Kimber K6 I'd like a take on that frm the owners, please.

I would be happy if any company brought back a true "blued" gun.

My cobra, 1974. it has a sister that is hard to tell apart; 1974 Detective Special. They just don't git no more gooder. I suspect the new Cobra will have lockwork of the Mark V design. That would be great. I will have at least one.....

I'd guess $600-$800? If they want to sell them

Regardless, I'll get one if they aren't priced exorbitantly.

Its so exciting to see new wheel guns being released.

    8 round .327 magnum please...

$600-800 won't cover the surcharge for the Rampant Pony logo on the sideplate. I figure twice that.

If it is true (and I have some doubts), where did they get the equipment? All of the old equipment has been gone for decades. Did they set up a new line? Are they importing the Filipino clones and just finishing them to their specs? Building from scratch here with Filipino parts?
