The PT145 in my opinion is one of the finest designs on the market. Love the grip, love how it handles recoil, love the trigger, love the capacity.
Enjoy and welcome to the club.
I made the right choice....the Millennium Pt145 is the sweetest shooting pistol I own. I took my 40 in for comparison, and was surprised how snappy it was, I was expecting monstrous recoil with a larger caliber. The first shot I fired made me smile, and it was a 185 grain Critical Defense round...along with that I bought two boxes of PMC 230 grain fmj...strange thing is those were ALOT smoother than the 185.
Afterwards..I bought two boxes of the 230 PDX! defender bonded, and found a box of Gold Dots. Drinking a Red Stripe with a big smile on my face, cheers and safe shooting everyone![]()

Thanks, its my first 45...and I say first because I am thinking of getting a full size version....maybe even trading my 40 so I can afford it lol....you figure out what feels good through trial and error I guess

Congrats on your experience with the PT145. That .45 bug bites hard. Do I see a PT1911 in you future? Both are great guns.

You know what you've done, now? You've create a desire to buy more good shooting guns until you have more than you can count!!!
A 1911 style 45 most definitely in my future, don't know when, maybe when I get more hours this winter I'll treat myself to some heavy metal...I mean with a polymer frame making me happy....I can only imagine the pt1911. My plan is to take my 40 cal to the next gun show and walk away with a new 45.....when I went to buy my range ammo I saw a nice 1911 colt....so now its the waiting game....revolver for me is 357....now my semi auto 45....bigger, stronger, more controllable....you cant go wrong
Don't let me be one to twist your arm into a 1911 styled .45, they are simply a dream to shoot. Here's a little eye candy to show you my pair. I absolutely love .45 ACP's, the round is a dream to shoot. Given the choice between shooting .40 S&W from my 405 or .45 ACP in either of my semi-auto's, i'll shoot triple the amount in .45's in a range session. The snubby revolver beats my hand up consistently.
