New PT145 First 100 Rounds

I experimented with several types of ammo during my first few outings with my PT 145. I had no problems, issues, or complaints with this gun. I personally feel that the PT 145 is the PERFECT CC gun. I need to add here that all of the ammo that I used were hand loads. I quit buying factory ammo after the last election.

I have
a Taurus 1911 and now a PT 145. Both seemed to perform well right out of the
box. I did however put 500 round through them both using ball and Hornady XTP
ammo. The only problem I had was with the 1911 as the extractor had broken and
needed to be replaced. A call to customer service had a replacement and two
free extractors on the way to my house, arriving in three days. My PT 145 eats
ammo and is very accurate for a small barreled gun. You can’t find a better CC
weapon for the money

Quick Update:

Only was able to fire a clip last weekend. No problems aside from the mag dropping. Did my research on the forum here looking at this as a problem, and it appears to be common. A telling sign for me was the fact that it released going in my IWB holster. I know that I am not hitting the release hard enough that it should release during firing. Touching it maybe but it shouldn’t be that close to dropping.

So: I called Taurus.

Getting a new mag release and spring. The asked me if I could do it myself and of course I replied YES! So they are sending the parts to me and I don't have to wait for the 6 week turnaround he told me about. I also asked if it could have anything to do with the mag, so I’m getting another one of those

P.S. Mag's are still on backorder from Taurus.

A++ for Taurus customer service at this point. I am very happy with them and assuming this fixes the problem my next handgun will definitely be another Taurus.
