    Value of a used PT111

Looking for fair market value of a PT111. S/N shows it was produced in 2005. Stainless steel slide. Very good condition, shoots well. Your opinions or link to Web site appreciated. Thanks.

Mine's all black and worth $250 to me, $25 more for SS slide. Others may value one differently.

$250 is a good ballpark number, give or take a few dollars.

Since diligent shopping turns up "New in the Box" PT111's for $350 or less...

I'd say $200-$250 is a fair price range depending on condition of the gun, number of magazines and accessories included in the deal.

Thank you for your responses. I should have mentioned it comes in the original box from Taurus with two magazines, two keys and original owners manual. Also an Uncle Mikes #15 Sidekick holster. After a bit of mental flip-flopping I think I'll buy it.

That might make that one a 1st generation.

I had a first generation and traded up to the latest 3rd generation.

The first had some problems with feeding some kinds of hollowpoints.

There are several members with first gens that are just fine and work with what they feed theirs. They're completely satisfied and for good reasons.

Update: I finally heard from the guy who owns the PT111, he wants $375.00 for it. I'm returning it to him this evening. And continuing my shopping for a Taurus handgun.

I think you'll find the pt111 to be a very suitable and up to the task weapon for almost any self defense purpose you might run into. I was (and am still) a big fan of mine. I just got an offer that I couldn't bare to turn down and it went on it's way.

Gun Broker and Bud's are fine places to look, also gallery of guns.
