Have put about 400 rds through my pt-145 and cleaned thoroughly after each range trip. This last trip, I had multiple failure to return to battery issues. The slide would slow to the point I would already be about to pull trigger again then slide would close. Sometimes it would not close at all without a rapp to the back and sometimes not feed next round completely. I could not find anything abnormal when taking it down to clean but slide was difficult to remove. This was the first time with problems. I am hoping it is something simple but am stumped. Cleaned, reassembled and slide seems to rack fine. Any suggestions? Any help greatly appreciated.
Welcome aboard from Florida the "Gunashine" state.
The problem could be anything from a dirty slide/rails to lack of lubracation, limp wristing or all of the above.
All of which are easy fixes.

All the things Moondawg said plus sometimes your grip may let your thumb drag on the slide. This can sometimes slow the slides rearward and forward momentum.
