PT145 Mil Pro, Show me your replacement sights and your target!

Quick question for everyone. As we all know, The straight 8 sights are just not very good sights unless you have a lot pf practice with them. After about 400 rounds or so I still cannot get it to POA! Very tiring thing especially since I use this for carry. So my question is simple, How well do the William Fire sights / HiViz sights work out? IN order to better ger an idea of that I was hoping you guys could post a pic of your sights and a target you shot with them.

I want to replace them ASAP. CTD seems to have them at a good price, Midway is a bit more expensive but I fear the reputation to be honest as to compared to Midway. Also, If you have somewhere I can get a heck of a price for them, Please share that info

I know there are other threads related to the sights but I figure this was a tad different. I would like to see how much your POI changed after the sights. One more thing! Is it possible to get Red front/ Green back? The red back and green front isn't bad but my eyes are attracted more to red than green.

I don't have a pic of the target, but here are my fire sights. You can't go wrong with them.

These are the new adjustable Williams Fire Sights. They're a huge improvement over the 8s. I don't have any photos of my targets but no problems putting rounds just about where I wanted them at 15 yards. I got these from Brownells for $60. I don't think they have an options for front and rear colors.

I kind of like that adjustable rear sight, but the front one doesn't do much for me. Seems to be kind of tall and snag prone... I might have to look into that rear though, wonder if it would work with the original front? Although some some front night sight would be nice. Interesting.

I have Williams Firesights on my pt-111, my carry. Bright and quick in daylight. No problem with the holster.

I like the adjustable one a tad more. I know HiViz makes them with Red front, Green back tho. But for the price, FireSights seem to be a good way to seeing as they are the same thing just not the same color for front and back being vice-versa.

I thought I wanted the red in front too. After getting the Williams fire sights with the green out front I found I tend to see the green better than the red. That surprised the heck out of me as I wasn't expecting it.

I changed my Heine sights to 3 dot on my PT145 MP.

I used a 5/64th drill bit and drilled just deep enough to make an indentation. I put a dab of white paint in the indentations and blacked out the center white dot.

I found that my white paint was brighter than the original so put a dab on the front sight as well.

I put about 110 rounds through it today and found it to be much better for me. Quicker on target and I can see the sights better.

My 1911s both have 3 dot sights and they just seem more natural. Just my opinion.

Truth be told, I'm not a fan of the "8" but have not had any problems with them. My 2 cents.
