Good to hear. All my Taurus pistols have the 3 dot sights. I was not a fan of the straight 8 sights on my old PT145.
I know this has been discussed numerous times but here is what I did.
First off, let me say I am a very experienced handgunner. I own many different brands, calibers and sytles of pistols and have never had a problem hitting with the factory sights. Until I bought a MilPro PT 111. As for nearly everyone else, it hit significantly low. I tried using the high sight hold as advised here but I was not comfortable with that. Too many years of shooting level with the back sight. So yesterday I got fed up with this BS, got my file out, and filed down the front sight carefully, shooting 5 shots to confirm after taking off a bit each time , and finally I had it shooting spot on at 15 yards and reasonably well at 25 yards. So now I am happy. Enough of that Heinne Straight 8 BS.

I have Williams Firesights on mine. It shoots pretty good that way.

It took me 20 rounds to figure out the factory sights, onething I did notice is the barell is not parallel with the body, it slightly points down.
When shooting steel plates with my PT111 Mil Pro at 45' or 50' I need to aim at the top of the 8" plates and about 2" above the 6" plates. Otherwise, my shots go low. At close range (3-5yds) a center hold is dead on.

Keep in mind that the Heinie staight-8 sights are designed to align the front sight OVER your target, not under it. This causes most of the 'shooting low' issues that are experienced.
I don't like the Heinies either. I used to get onto people and tell them to give them a chance, but I really would rather have 3-dots instead.

With all the negative publicity from Taurus owners, it makes one wonder.
Richare Hienie must own a LOT of Taurus stock to keep selling them a sight no one including your's truly likes.![]()
