Are PT111 Millennium Pro magazines compatible with PT111 Millennium pistol

I have a PT111 Millenium 9mm pistol with a 10 round mag. I found a 12 round mag for the Pt111 mill pro on sale for $25. I bought it and have used it, but the slide stays open with every round. I can push the slide release and fire again. Is there any way to make the 12 round mag work smoothly in the PT111 Millennium?

I think gen 2 and gen 3 are can be used in one another but a gen 1 can't.

Neither magazine will work in either gun. The Mil Pros had enough tweaking by Taurus so the angle of the grip and other dimensions are just enough so that Mil Pro mags will not work in Millenium only guns and vice versa.

I owned a regular Millennium PT111 and now own a PT111 Mil Pro.

I think that if you match up the holes it should work. You may need to patch the ones that arent needed and drill one or so but Im not sure at ALL, it just seems to me that it has to do with the holes lining up with the inside and the slide button. Like I said I havent a clue! it just seems it should work! Only problem I could see will be the angle. Cables has the Pro for only $20 and I have a regular millinium but for that price Im sure going to try...

I have the gen 3 and accidentally discovered that mags for the 24/7 work fine. Doesn't work the other way, the pt111 mags are too short.
