Odd wear?

could use some help.

I have a PT-145 with ~600 rounds thru it. While cleaning it after a recent
range session, I noticed some odd wear.

On the inside edge of the slide rail, just aft of the breech face there were
a series of small nicks or dings in the edge of the rail. As if something with
a hard edge had banged up against it. I hadn't noticed this during any
previous cleaning session.

The dings were easily felt with a finger, and a little work with a file cleaned
them up quickly, but I'm wondering what could have banged up against
the inside edge of the rail to cause this. Any ideas?

Check your lock and make sure it is backed out all the way. Also, try not to run it too dry, keep a little oil on the slide.
