    PT 145 Magazines

I received a ProMag today for my PT145 Pro. It is .020" wider than the Taurus magazine and it has a much more positive engagment with the magazine release. Similarly, the follower better engages the tab on the slide stop. This one will not fall out, and it will not fail to activate the slide stop. On the downside, the base pad is such a poor fit with the grip that it looks like it was made for another gun. Function testing this weekend.

    Re: PT 145 Magazines

I bought a Pro-Mag last week and I don't like it at all. I sent it back. Bought 2 new ones from www.taurus-handguns.com

The factory mags are so much better.

Absolutely they are, I have ordered mags and holsters from them numerous times. Never had a problem and every shipment is insured.

They fed good, it was hard to seat, more of a slam on it that the factory mag. It also didn't release as well as the factory ones did. Maybe it was just mine but I will stick with factory mags. I also didn't like the bottom of the mag on the Pro-Mag, it wasn't as thick as the factory one and the grip didn't feel right.

In no means am I telling you not to buy one but from experience I like the factory ones a lot better.

    Re: PT 145 Magazines

I have a couple ProMags for my PT145. They work fine except the slide locks open when the second-last round is fired. I bought them because the originals could not be seated with the slide closed so I sent them back on 22nd Sept of 08 and haven't gotten them back yet. I also bought a new Taurus mag but it sometimes drops out of the gun when the gun is fired. Love the gun, hate the mags.
