I dont see why it would be a problem as long as they are identical to one another. Sounds like they just wanna make a few extra bucks on you buying another magazine for each.
I have a PT-140 Millenium and a PT-140 Millenium PRO. I bought both pistols new and they came with one magazine each. I have used the magazines "interchangeably".....so much so that I don't know which magazine came with which pistol. Is this a safe practice? TAURUS INTERNATIONAL told me that it will damage a gun if you try use a Millenium magazine in a Millenium PRO. Any thoughts on this? The magazines appear to be identical...and they have no identifying markings or part numbers on them.
