    Re: PT111 sights...

Looking around on the tactical-store website shows that they are a division of opticsPlanet, so I dont think I'll try them either. I'll wait and see if glove gets his, or maybe call before I try to reorder.

    Hello Gordy
Got them today and put them on. You do have to heat the screws up to get them out. They are a little smaller than the stock sights also sit a little lower. Now I have to find some time to get to the range. Mine were P/N 70268 for the Mil. Pro.

    I checked http://www.tactical-store.com/ site. looks like they may have them in stock. $34.95 P/N 70897 I would give them a call. Toll-Free: (800) 504-5994

    Re: PT111 sights...

Thanks glove, I actually called tactical-store, and they said that they are the same as optics planet, just operating under a different name. Then I called Taurus to see if they had factory 3-dot sights available, and they said yes, that I would only need the rear, and it is about $9.50, so I ordered it. I am a little skepical that it will be what I am hoping for, but it is worth a try for that price.

In the meanwhile, cheaperThanDirt just e-mailed me and said they have the firesights back in stock now too, but I'm gonna wait and see what Taurus sends me first

I'm going to look up these "fire sights". I will have absolutely NO time this weekend at all to do anything gun related (I have 3 vehicles to fix and luncheon to go to ), however, I can still look these sights up and see if they are my cup of tea...

Please keep us posted. I'm not really interested in the fire sights, but often find myself wondering why in the heck a good and affordable 3 dot site isn't available for the PT111. I'm curious if the back sight Taurus will send you will be compatible with the front sight in terms of sight picture. In other words, I wonder if the front dot on a straight 8 sight falls in the same place as the front dot on a 3 dot sight. If this all works out for you, I'll definitely give Taurus a call.

I got my fire sights a few days ago. It really makes a difference especially with my eyesight. I have yet to shoot with them but I can see them a 100% better.
