  1. Greetings all.

Just thought I'd pop in after lurking for a bit. Found myself looking for a CCW for my wife and I and just happend to run accross a sale at Academy for the Taurus PT140 Millenium Pro (GEN 3). Mine is stainless, her's is black. At any rate, I am comfortable around guns but am going to be taking the wife and I for a few starter courses prior to getting some serious range practice for obtaining CHL.

We haven't shot them yet, looking forward to that on Sunday. Looks like getting ammo is going to be a pain however.

Prior to putting them through their paces, I've noticed that the packing grease is all over the slide mech and am wondering the best way to clean all the parts. I've read that some use 100% denatured alcohol bath and a blow dry, is this the common wisdom for getting rid of the grease.

I'm looking forward to a long and fruitful stay. Thanks for having me!
