Hey BigCountry, had a good weekend?

I've shot 950 of FM Blaster, and 1500 of commercial new ammo through my PT809. I love this handgun!

I hosed it out with Gunscrubber and found half a teaspoonful of unburned powder. I'm not sure what ammo this was from. Even if it were from FM ammo, I'll still buy it, at least at this price. I just wish it were not so dirty.

I've amassed 600 cases of 9 mm, either to give my friend, or for me to try my hand at reloading. I'm looking into the economics of reloading, and the best I can get is $140 or so, so long as I can avoid shipping and hazmat by picking up supplies from Houston (only as an incidental trip). It's a little cheaper than $170 I'm paying for FM Blaster now, and $220 for Walmart Federal Champion. Since my wife's SR-22 is with Ruger, we've been shooting 100-150 rounds of 9 mm every week. Even at this rate of consumption, I'm still not convinced that it's worth the time and capital cost...

Freedom Munition's upped the price by about $10/1000.

I just placed an order at the old price of $155/1000 + 3 % off (chet-1). I'm down to 460 out of the original case.

I've fired 320 of the Freedom Munitions ammo already. Was hoping to save money with this brand but I seem to end up shooting more... Anyway, this ammo is pretty dirty. I think the carbon's so thick it comes off in flakes which fall out of the pistol anyway it can. It's cleanable, of course, but it does take a little longer. I previously reported that it seemed to have a stronger recoil but I don't feel it anymore. Maybe it's just in my head. Did you manage to shoot this weekend?

I don't know about CA, but if you don't like the weather here in Texas, wait 10 minutes...

I just received my order. I think it's good ammo. Recoil is a bit more than the brand name commercial stuff I have bought, so I needed to grip my PT809 harder. I was actually working hard to do that, but I guess I'll get used to it. A shame it'll be more expensive without the coupon. I hope Jack Ross pans out.

Any luck? There was a week-long delay with Freedom Munitions too, but the goods are now on their way.

Ya people are upset that they are taking forever, but the people that have got the ammo dont seem to have any complaints at all about it. Good luck with your purchase.

Thanks for getting back. I'm going to go with the Blaster for now. I've seen satisfactory reviews, which help to allay my concerns somewhat. I'll let you know whether it is good. Once the coupon code expires, it will be a little less worth it for me.

If you are satisfied with Jack Ross, I am keen to consider it as a long-term supplier. $172.50 is certainly attractive, and they have indicated that this is the new regular price. I really hope it does work out for you. Maybe it's just as well that I hold off while they are stressed out working nights and weekends. I certainly expect them to maintain their quality standards.
