It's actually a Meriden 38S&W, sold through the Sears & Roebuck catalog in the early 20th century. The pistol was made between 1915 and 1918. I used Brownells baking lacquer, just as an experimental finish (and to see if I could do it). The pistol will fire in single action, but the hand assembly needs to be replaced and the timing adjusted for double action.
