    thoughts on the 970

I found a new blued 970 for $280.00. I'm wondering if this is a good deal since this would be my first taurus. I have been shooting only for 1 year and have been shooting a ruger mark 3, and aruger single six 22lr. This will be my first DA revolver.

$280 seems like a fair price for the 970.

    Welcome from kentucy!
    Nice price on the 970.
    I have a 970 6" blue and love it.
Just be advised that the DA trigger pull will be a bit heavy ( as the case with most 22lr's ) but will lighten up after a while.
Also, you might get some cylinder binding after the gun gets dirty. I'm told that this is normal for 22's as they are not very clean burning.
    Have fun with your 970!
