    Newbie from Pennsylvania

Hi folks, my name is Mark and I'm from the Poconos in north eastern PA.

Rented a Taurus 85 at my home gun range last week; as a result have placed an order for a SS finish model 85 from Bud's. This will be my first Taurus.

I like revolvers in general. Own a Ruger LCR 22lr, Ruger Single-Ten 22LR and a 6" Colt .38 Officers Model Match. My only Semi-Auto is a Kel-Tec P-32, my EDC.

Managing recoil can be an issue for me. Shooting a Taurus 85 rental at the range confirmed that I could manage it, shooting it very well to boot. This would not be possible with a lightweight LCR in .38. Had narrowed my search down to the Rossi or Taurus .38 snubby. Was leaning Rossi because it's a slightly heavier. However, actually getting to fire the 85 on the range sealed the deal for the Taurus. Confident that I can master the 85 and looking fwd to doing so. The 85 will likely share EDC duties with my P-32 depending on wardrobe.

Glad to be here and looking fwd to learning from the knowlegable folks here.

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.

to the forum from the Florida Keys!
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

The 2nd amendment is not about hunting or shooting sports, it is about the citizens of this country having the means to protect themselves and the states from the tyranny, oppression, and misery of an over powering government. Modern rifles are a means for the citizens to stand up to an over powering government.
