Excellent read! These stories don't get out because they don't fit the agenda of the media and the government.
A very good read: "Ryan Moore"
"The type of gun incident most "media" has no use for"
"On December 11, 2010, in Conyers, GA, 22-year-old Ryan Moore was at a friend’s house for an evening of leisure. He borrowed a friend’s car to drive to the nearby grocery store, where his handgun saved his life. I interviewed Ryan Moore over e-mail about that evening."*What happened that night at the Ingles (grocery store) parking lot?
***"I had a five shot Taurus 651 snub-nosed .357 magnum loaded with magnum defensive ammunition. After drawing, I fired three shots in about two seconds" ....(more)

You never know when you will need a gun !
"This is not a world in which one can turn the other cheek. Doing so does not avoid violence, but rather encourages it. The bad guys threaten, but they do not seem to want to get hurt. They should be taught that their presumed victim is more dangerous than they are. This is not a matter of weapons, but of will."

Thanks for the post. Good guy wins.
Friday my son pulled his pistol in self defense. He had just paid for a speeding ticket in little old down town Cedar Rapids and got back in his Ford truck. Pulled his Glock in 40 S&W out of center console and stuck it between seats. While still parked looking at text messages, he noticed the jail released a man (could tell because guy was carrying all his crap in plastic bag). My son looked back down at his phone and when the guy gets abeam him passenger door, rushes up to truck and tries to open the locked door. My son grabbed his pistol and pointed it at the moron, he dropped his crap, raised his hands, then dropped to the ground grabbed his bag and ran like hell was chasing him.
Self defense happens every day even in a small town like Cedar Rapids.

"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks." -Thomas Jefferson
Glad he was able to do that.
