These are all in my EDC rotation. The Kershaw Cryo is a constant and rides in my left front pocket as a weak hand and loaner. I rotate between the Tenacious and Resilience depending in expected tasks for the day and the two Bear & Son boot knives I carry on occasion. I made those to fit me perfectly when I worked there. The Stag handled one is for dressier/BBQ occasions whle the black micarta is a workhorse.

Here is a pic to show the size of the Spyderco Resilience compared to my full size M&P40. This thing is a beast and scares the hell out of everyone at work, that's why I carry the slightly smaller Tenacious at work.

Well, when I started out, I just intended to get enough to handle any conceivable eventuality... you know, like the Boy Scout motto says, Be Prepared.

But then when I was doing all my research to determine the best blade characteristics for each need or scenario, I also became fascinated with the myriad blade steels and the geometry of blades and cutting edges.

Plus, I kept seeing other knives I really liked, and if there was a great deal, I went for it... in fact, if I liked it enough I'd buy a second to serve as a backup in case 1 was lost or stolen.

In any event, yes, I really like my collection, even though it's not made up just the most expensive knives. I do have some 3-figure knives that will last my lifetime and are virtually indestructible for anything that might arise in my experience.

But one thing I've learned through the years of researching and buying blades is that, much like Taurus, you can find lots of great, quality tools for very reasonable prices; and quite often, more money doesn't necessarily mean more quality.

"You get what you pay for" holds true MOST of the time; but not always and not for every type of product.... it's not an absolute.

I can probably post some stock photos from the manufacturers later; but my better half is out of town with our camera, and the camera in my phone is useless. I do have a picture of my haul from Christmas though.

Thanks! So many unique steels, blade shapes, and grinds... and of course handle and scales possibilities are practically endless.

Like gun collecting, it's hard to get to a point where you're content with what you have; but with knives, I feel like I'm pretty close to satisfied... at least my little lady hopes so (although she's none too disappointed when a new one arrives and there's one for her in the package too).

I recently bought her a small pink folding KA-BAR for her purse and she was elated.

Recently just bought a Ka Bar. Really nice feel to it. Yeah, there may be others out there that can do various other things, but the traditionaly Ka Bar has stood the test of time and makes for a great overall knife. No pix of it yet though, sorry.
