    The statue of limitation applies to prosecution for a crime - in other words, charges must be filed withing the limitation from the time the crime is discovered.
    It does not apply to flight to avoid prosecution. Warrants - the gift that lasts forever.
    BTW, because she fled, she can still be tried for the theft as well as for the warrant.
    When considering a nonlinear system, make simplifying assumptions:

    2. Ignore gravity.
