In a part of Texas where it is so flat, you can watch a mistreated dog run away for three days!

Just make sure that spot is in far South Texas. Gonna get to 21 freezing degrees here, 19 in Amarillo and 14 degrees in Dalhart.

I spent 4 1/2 months in NW Pa and SW New York State in 1981 from August until December 21st.

Everyone local all thought all of Texas was in the tropics and were advising me about snow and black ice. They said to start expecting snow by October 15th. By December 19th, the Areas in Pa and NYS had 7 inches of snow, Lubbock had already had 14 inches.

If you want to have fun, watch the traffic in Houston or San Antonio when they get their once every 20 year snow storm!

The Wall Street Journal had a map broken down by county showing more than 80% of the nation voted red, not blue. Most of the blue areas were along the southern border and in the major metropolitan areas (no surprise there). Perhaps each State should have it's own Electoral College with an elector for each county. Whoever gets the most votes by the counties wins the State and gets it's National Electoral Votes. That would break the tyranny of the population centers over the rest of the nation.

And the next time you're walking down the sidewalk and get a wad of used chewing gum stuck to your foot, thank (or curse) Santa Anna.
Once he quit being dictator of Mexico, he became one of the largest exporters of chicle to the U.S..

There are a lot of Texans on this forum, and, I respect their down to earth common sense approach to most issues.
I strongly support gun control, how else are you going to hit anything?

Hope we have lots of Gold stockpiled! Oh, wait! Our gold is black! Silly me! Y'all can have as must as you want, as long as y'all pay with bullion, that is! . Oh and a wild pig goes with each barrel! No choice on that.
