I got to go to one of his concerts a couple of years ago. Awesome show. I'm still upset I missed his show last year in KC. He's going to be in Wichita in a month or two, I'm hoping I can go this time.
July 4th, 2008 Live in concert! Iroquois Ampitheater in Louisville, KY.
And we had front row tickets! Yay me!Jealous ain't ya?
WEIRD AL RULES! That was an awesome concert. It was really fun. Weird Al and his band took stage and played for a little over two hours. He did costume changes for just about every song. There were a lot of songs off the Straight Out Of Lynnwood album but he also did a bunch of older songs. Including Eat It, Fat, Bedrock Anthem, Smells Like Nirvana and more. Between most songs they played videos on the large screen at the back of the stage. Mostly clips from Al TV Show that aired on MTV and VH1.
He came down into the crowd during "I Wanna Be Your Lover" and sang to several women. My wife was the first one! (if you look at the pictures linked below you see that our seats were right in front of the box he used as a step to get on & off the stage.) The sucky part is that I had the camera zoomed in for when he was across the stage and couldn't get a damn picture!!!!! SUCK!
Aside from that, it was an awesome show. If you ever get a chance to see him live you really should take that opportunity.
Finally got pictures sorted out and put online. Click here the password is "yankovic". There are a lot of pics and would have been more but my batteries crapped out on me right near the end of the show.
