I read this article the other day. After they figure how to do that, they'll need to figure out how to stop the effect of acceleration on the body. Speed of light = 300,000,000 meters/sec. Continuous acceleration at 3 Gs would take 10 million seconds to get to light speed (or 115 days, 17 hrs., 56 min., and 40 seconds). Try sitting on the pot or eating at 3 Gs.
I don't know accelerations effect on a human would be an issue. If you are warping space, the space around you changes, but the space inside the bubble stays "normal". In effect the bubble of space around you would be moving through space carrying your bubble of normal space. But to you, space should stay constant and any acceleration outside the bubble would be relative to the bubble you are in, so you could accelerate at a normal rate inside the bubble while the bubble accelerates (relative to normal space) at a high rate, or am I missing something. Like I said earlier I'm no physicist. (I'm just a nerd who like this kinda stuff! )

Personally, I've always been a fan of the Bergenholm drive, anyway.
When considering a nonlinear system, make simplifying assumptions:
    1. Assume a spherical kaw of uniform density.
    2. Ignore gravity.
    3. In a vacuum.

Elected Perpetual Dictator of the Universe by a landslide.

    Of course.
And poltergeists make up the principle type of spontaneous material manifestation.

Now cut the doubletalk and just tell whodog where he can get a replicator that churns out White Castles.

But it works in Star trek, Star wars, Buck Rogers, etc etc.... That's good enough proof for most scientists these days, right?

Okay. Quick show of hands. How many of you have Spock ears and blue, red or gold colored uniforms hanging in the closet? Be honest now.

Also the first person who is willing to admit they have the Geordi La Forge glasses gets a free padded case for a Ruger LCR if I can find it.

Its true space is bent already by sheer gravity. But to actually fold space like the theory here....yeah... that's going to take some doing... I too am not a theoretical physicist.. lol. Its going to be interesting to see what they discover or alter to make this possible...

owning a gun doesn’t make you any more an armed citizen than owning a guitar makes you a musician, in both cases, practice makes near perfect!!.
