My dad been gone 7 yrs now but he drank unsweet tea with lemon juice in it . Only way he would drink it . I myself love sweet tea but got so tired of the amount of sugar to make good sweet tea that i switched over to sweet n' low about 12-15 yrs ago . Better on my body but when i go out and eat i get sweet tea and if it's good i order a second glass . Yrs ago my family made tea by boiling about 6 family size bags and added approx 2-pints of sugar to one of those Suntea jars . I think maybe it was more than a gallon but less than 2 gal . It was fantastic but if you drank a glass before you went to bed next morning your tongue was like brown sugar cane !

I cook..lol..real well. She hated seeing me eat my steaks burgers, tacos after awhile while she are her tofu and soy burgers. We were in two whole different arenas of the political spectrum as well. One of those things, we get together in a fever hotter than a pepper sprout and when the fire went out we had no business together..lol. *sigh* c'est le vie

BUT I got my sweeten tea with aquava necter now.

Nice Johnny Cash reference! Whenever people ask if my wife and I had a song, we always say Jackson!

My sweet tea has always had 3/4 cup sugar and 3/4 cup brown sugar per gallon. I think it's perfect but might give this a try.
