Starting next Saturday, I'm practicing lots of head shots

Due to the number of douchbags shooting up places while wearing body armor, I am starting to practice head shots from a draw.

So it's out to the Grasslands next weekend for some "training."

Profile targets, my CCW piece and some manufactured cover will be the training environment until such time as I get relatively proficient. I'll be looking for a single, well-aimed shot to the head/neck, so as to minimize the risk to potential bystanders.

Until these guys start coming prepared with bullet-proof faces, this will be my tactic if I see somebody shooting up the place with Kevlar on.

Has it been confirmed that the Aurora shooter had body armor?
Why has the world gone to hell since John Wayne died?

Fox News said he wore an Urban Assault Vest, as linked to in another thread, no bullet resistant anything.
    The gas mask certainly wasn't.

    Good call Rifleshooter.......lets practice.
I have been wanting to practice on a silhouette target with a BG hiding behind a victim.
And lately, I have wanted to leave my subcompact ccw behind and carry either my hi-cap Sig or 92.

According to all reports I've seen or read and police press meetings he was in full body armor from shin to head including crotch and neck protection.

When I go to the range I start out shooting bulls eyes, then change to a full target and shoot 2 center mass 1 to the head in a quick 3 second drill. Learned to practice that way, watching LEO'S at the range. Figure if its good for them should be good for me.

Same here. Also may throw in one full mag to head rapid fire at end of a particular pistol use at range.

Rephrase 'SAME HERE' - I try for the bull. LOL
