Might have lost my guns today

Took my daughters to the range today for the first time. After instruction they each picked out a zombie target and took turns with my 94 and 66. It took about 15 minutes for both of them to decide which was their favorite. Surprisingly to me they each chose different guns which is great in that they dont have to wait to take turns but then they started referring to each as "their" gun. I think I managed to loose two revolvers today.

On the plus side we had a blast! I only shot a few rounds myself but had so much fun working with them. Changed my club membership to family for the next few months so we can shoot until they go back to college. Also, since they have laid claim to my guns it gives me a reason to buy a new one! Just so I can shoot with them of course. I'm thinking maybe a 1911 this time?

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Sounds like you had a really nice day with your daughters. Pick out a really nice 1911 for yourself.

It's a good thing that the gun shops have more!

Congrats on what sounds like a great day and sharing quality time with your kids.

Don't look at it as losing a pair of Guns, but more along the lines of Endowing your daughters with the gifts of self protection and granting you permission to get a 1911.

They're in college and this is just their first time to the range.

JK glad to see you are getting them into guns.
Always remember to Reduce, Reuse and Recycle your targets
    Reduce them to shreds
Reuse shoot them more than once
    Recycle whatever is left over

Man oh man, thats probably the best way to lose a couple of guns. Glad your gals enjoy the range and the sport. I was going to say I hope you are having a good week also, but I already know the answer, you not only got to the range, but got their with your children, that makes it a great week!

    Yes sir. Great story!

Know for the silver lining of a great day. Not only did you get to spend quality time with them enjoying something fun..... but know they can "work their way to the two guns" by a down payment. In only ___ payments of ____. That's up to you.

Whose's this "their" ? You can ask them.

If they had to actually go to the store and pick out their favorite they might get a good kick out of it. It's know their baby pet and they have to take care of it. They got to make a responsible decision and take control of sorts. There is something about ownership that adds pride, belonging, and being able to do something as responsible and powerful as shooting. Individualism! Accomplishments like that are great.
