    Priorities, the Wife Says.

Apparently, working, sleeping, eating and spending time at T/A is not making the bride happy with me.

Priorities and moderation, I am told, is what I am needing. OK. So I'll sleep less. Uh, seems that isn't the answer.

OK, OK, I get the picture.

So, she is thinking maybe grilling would be a nice thing for me to do. I used to be a master griller with my Weber, back in the army days. I was known to fire up the Weber in Germany with a foot of snow on the ground. Fear wasn't in my vocabulary. Frostbite was, bit not fear.

The old Weber is rusted out and was tossed years ago. I need a new grill. A CHARCOAL grill, by the way, and not gas.

What do y'all think? I'm thinking the Master Forge 800 sq. in. steel grill. It has a thermometer built into the lid. My old Weber didn't have that.

Shop Master Forge 800 Sq. In. Steel Charcoal Grill at Lowes.com

    Any suggestions?

    That does look nice.

You can't go wrong with another Webber, they just plain work.

I love charcoal grilling but got lazy. I now use gas, also have the side burner so we can eat after a hurricane. To increase the flavor I put a pan of wood chips off to one side.
I buy a cheap grill because they do not seem to last more than a year, covered or not.
    Have fun!

If you were a master griller you know you have to go with charcoal. I would definitely get a grill with a thermometer, helps to moderate the temp without having to keep opening the lid and losing all your heat. I got a cheaper one that has lasted 3 years so far and is still going so I would just buy one you are comfortable with

CC, the wife came with her own grill - a gas one. Huge honker. She ran her folks' horse ranch and would grill burgers and hotdogs for the customers on the weekends.
I can't bring myself to use it, as it is not charcoal. Oh, we aren't throwing it out; as Rod says, it's good for emergency cooking.

I guess I'll go with the Master Forge. Not too pricey, so that leaves money for Wifey's want - a gas oven in the kitchen. Apparently, electric is not sufficient. That'll make her happy when she realizes the wireless router is allowing me to do as Miss Kitty suggested.
