How about it, MissKitty? Surely your lovely Mom has a spare pair she can loan you until you procure your own. (wink, wink)

Good work MissKitty! All handguns should have some leather to ride around in. Especially single actions!

Great job, and very creative. I await in great anticipation to see which holster you bid on. I went looking to try and guess which one you would choose, too.
Note: If you need a source of leather, I often see Free Leather Couches, (key word being FREE) and lounge chairs on our local Craig's List. Check in your area. Just cut around the tears and rips.

    Great job on the holster!

Regarding free leather furniture check out "Freecycle" if you are not aware of it. There are lists in many communities throughout the country where people can post to give up free household goods and link up with others who are in need. Great for those on a budget and it helps keep the landfills emptier by re-purposing goods.

    The Freecycle Network
"Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and given him triumphal processions. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the new wonderful good society which shall now be Rome's, interpreted to mean more money, more ease, more security, and more living fatly at the expense of the industrious." -- Marcus Tullius Cicero

That holster looks very period accurate! The Real Old Time Cowboys never had the fancy silver mounted holsters we always see on the "Big Screen" and The "Silver Screen"!
