I think it would be good to have a place we can post some of our favorite music. I just had someone on facebook post "In the Summertime!" there and I thought that since we have a post your funny pictures thread, then maybe we should have a post Music favorites thread. Also try to post single songs only.

*grin* I posted this on facebook (always reminds me of summer parties) and a young friend of mine (she's 23) said she loved at the end when they ask you to sing along and start the da da dee dee like they had forgotten the lyrics. I told her, well it was the 70's. For most of us if you remember it, you were either not there or one of the straight and sober ones.

No doubt Hendrix was the greatest, this guy is no slouch particularly if you like the blues

One thing I always liked about Hendrix, and something that a lot of people don't know about him - he was in the 101st Airborne, and was airborne qualified. I remember listening to an interview with him that's on one of his albums before I enlisted, and he described stepping through the door as "a flat rush." I remember being on the DZ after the first one, and thinking "Man, Hendrix was right!"

I liked Stevie Ray playing behind his back. I started to post Jimi playing with his teeth, but I didn't want to get a dueling banjos thing going. I was afraid Ned Beatty might show up.
