    Or cats and Christmas trees

Our old cat, the late, great Fluffy, used to go nuts over our Christmas tree. It was about an eight-foot tree and she use to climb halfway up it.

We put up the Christmas tree today and our current cat, Snowball immediately laid down under it.

She usually sleeps with my son or with my wife and I. Right now, she's still under the tree and sound asleep.

Never had the problem when I had a cat but I read somewhere that cats like to eat those mylar icicles hanging from trees. Not a good thing to see when they appear in the litter box.

We have 3 very large cats. They know their size and know they can't climb our fake one. We've never had a problem. They will lay under it and bat at the lowest ornaments if I don't hang them a bit higher. Our cat's have been trained so we don't have any issues with anything. BTW, I do sleep with mine. Jack and I have separate beds due to his back issues, so the cat's sleep with me.

Our older cat had no issues with the Christmas tree. She died this past spring, and was replaced by a pair of kittens. We put up an artificial tree this past week, as we won't be seeing our one granddaughter for Christmas this year. The cats immediately scaled the tree, and were sitting in it, watching outside.

    Should be interesting.

Yeah they do. Makes their litter box nasty and funky looking! LOL!!

We knew one couple whose Golden Lab would eat any socks he found laying around, and yes they always came out the other end. Isuppose they would be wearable if they were washed good!!!!
