This morning I got up early and tuned in to Fox News and watched the entire royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

All I can say is: The Brits really know how to conduct a wedding!

I was impressed with the pomp, majesty, and the beautiful Chrisitian aspect of this very special wedding.

It was class. The real thing. No Hummer Limos there. I was amazed at how they moved the crowd from Trafalger Sq. (or wherever they watched the ceremony) to the palace on foot.

I'm not much for pomp and circumstance, however.

The British economy is almost as bad as ours. The wedding is projected to cost 117 million dollars. They just cut college tuition payments to help balance the budget. That sure is a lot of educations. So what is more important, educating for the future of the country or buying a wedding?

I'm not into following royals of any country, but I can't wait for the UK (or is it Great Britain?) to have a King again. It looks like the newly married prince will be worthy of that.

Frankly I'm not that much of a monarchist however, 'they' (the royal family) didnt cut college tuition payments, the government allowed the colleges to charge fees as they saw fit, which are still cheaper course for course than US college fees.

One of the worst features of the UK is the benefit or social security culture that pays out to the deserving and the workshy indescriminately. This government is trying to put this right, but it is a hard and difficult road.

The cost of the wedding will be met by the royal family - I dont think the father of the bride has the means!
