Routine does not mean uneventful.
Guys,
Well I had a mild heart attack about a week ago. Doc's decided to do a heart cath rather than fool around with stress test etc. We do them all the time. I go in they find a 90% blocked artery and implant a stent. Back to the recovery room and everything went south. I remember asking what was wrong, sweats, felt like I was going to pass out. Well I did, femoral artery began bleeding internally my blood pressure dropped rapidly. I was told it took 4 nurses and the doc to get it stopped. I feel lucky to be here, must be God has something left for me to do. Very scary, it was probably better that I did pass out, received a pint of blood and you can see where all of the leakage went. I am no longer a white man from my waist to my thighs. Not a pretty sight, but feeling better every day. Just makes you think about your priorities.

Well get well soon, bluesman. My wife had a stroke about 3 years ago and almost to a the day a year later she had a heart attack. Come to find out it has all been due to her thyroid not functioning. Since then she has had her thyroid shot up with a iodine isotope to kill it followed by 1 pill a day. Since then she has been taken off of the heart meds including coumadin as well as her blood pressure has pretty well stabilized with one pill a day.
I personally have been lucky so far considering I smoke and have since I was 16 years old, now a week away for 64 years old. All my physical problems are self inflicted due to living the wild life when younger.
At any rate take care of yourself and listen to the doctors.Joe

Well I'm just taking it easy right now, have doctors appointments next week. Doc said everything else looked good so, I got the wake-up call I'm glad I didn't let the machine get it. ha, ha. Good health is something you just can't do without.

I am so sorry to hear about your medical problems. Please take care of yourself and do what the Doc says to do. My husband has a pacemaker/defibbulator and stent inplanted so I know the tech is there to help. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
