    My truck spit a plug

On the way to try my 458 socom reloads my 2008 F150 4.6L spit a plug. It was dark and rainy so I am heading over to see what I can do about it now.

Just to head some of you off at the pass, No I will not shoot her with the new 458 and put her out of her misery.

For all my commie driving friends I am getting my wish, I'd rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy.

Feel free to pile on. It's a good day and Life is good.

If any of the mechanics here have any suggestions I'll listen to them as well.

    Sorry Ford your troubles.

If it makes you feel any better, I was driving down the road in my 2008 Silverado last night, I went into a corner a little fast, hit a frost heave and my CD skipped.

Sorry to hear about your vehicular troubles, Preacher! You are OK, the 458 is OK, it coulda' been snowing instead of just rainin' and I am sure that your baby will be fixable! Our 1983 Ford F250 super cab is still running, so there ...to all the Ford haters!

My 1989 F150 is still going strong and looks like a million bucks! Don't have one of those new fangled CD players in it so skipping is not a problem.

Never heard of spitting spark plugs so did some research. Don't think it's too funny any more. Found this article:

    https://www.consumeraffairs.com/news...ark_plugs.html

In case anyone is unfamiliar with its history, this appears to be an ongoing problem. Also, the ubiquitous YouTube video for repair info:

Whatever adjective or verb comes to mind, I am...NotSo.

One of my goals in life is to shoot more people on purpose than I do by accident. So far, so good.

I don't have to deal with the dealership. There is a local repair shop that does a lot of them. $450 fewer than the dealership.
