It all started with a roll of caps and a ball peen hammer.
The Constitution was written to constrain the government.
It's now used to constrain the people.

We didn't have a fancy schmancy ball peen hammer. We used oyster shells to pop our rolls of caps.

Then we would drop a shotgun shell into the pipe, load a bb and pump the gun 3 times and hold the gun straight up to the sky and pull the trigger!

First couple times, we pumped the gun around 10 times but instead of setting the primer off, it would just blow through the shell without firing it.

Apparently, we kept Darwin at bay....not by much...but enough.
WOW - I'm trying to picture the 'equal and opposite reaction' consequences if you HAD connected!!!

At an earlier age David Baird and I discovered that Ohio Blue Tip matches were the same 'gauge' as our BBs for our rifles. This gave us the power of creating small remote fires. All we needed was an abrasive target to aim at and a nearby 'victim' to witness our greatness! Maybe a dry bush to add drama.

That lasted about a week but we convinced the parents that model rockets were indeed educational toys. Fields burned and (with very up-sized engines) "G-Force", the payload toad was never seen again.

Pumping the bb gun only 3 times did allow it to connect. The pipe was over sized so it was more noise than directed pressure.

Misterio resuelto de los martillos explosivos | MexaBlog | Un blog de todo para todos. De Chihuahua para el mundo

Happens in San Juan de la Vega in Guanajuato, Mexico. It is a celebration(!) of their patron saint (San Juan de la Vega) who was kind of a Robin Hood figure. He was a miner who recovered gold which was being taken by the authorities. Apparently there were explosions involved.

Since it's been going on for several centuries, I don't think you can call it a new thing, let alone the next new thing.

Hey, Lets give these people green cards. Maybe we can water down the US IQ some more.
    1. Muzzle Controll: Always point in a safe direction

    3. Keep it unloaded until ready to use.
