With synchronized swimming and some of the other Olympic events, I wouldn't be surprised if they made Olympic checkers a summer sport.

I strongly support gun control, how else are you going to hit anything?

Although it is not part of the dictionary definition, I think any sport should make your cardiologist happy if you tell him you're taking it up.

Curling requires a big fat joint, a family-sized bag of Doritos, and a 2-liter of Chek Cola.

See there - I still have no idea how ANYone ever settled down from about OK City north. I get the fact that the Scandinavian folks found Minnesota to their liking, but I just don't get it (not in my genes, I guess). Myself, if I found myself suffering through the first winter up north, would make a vow to, at the first sign of a thaw, head the convoy south until I hit palm trees, sandy beaches, and nekked women.

Ice is for drinks. I can't even watch the winter Olympics without shivering.

Yeah? The south was practically deserted until the invention of air conditioning. Gimmee snow over sunburn any day.

Sunburn? Add heat exhaustion, heat stroke, pit stains the size of the Great Salt Lake...

Anyway, I gained a new appreciation for curling yesterday watching the UK team.

We can visit for range time and libations during our respective "comfortable" months...
