    Judge Modifications

What modifications have you made? What did you like? What did you hate? I just bought my first Public Defender. I have a set of black wood grips on order and they should be here this week. I will post pictures up as soon as I get them. Post pictures of your modifications!

I thought about it, and then decided, "Hey, why mess with perfection?"

I've made no modifications, but there is one I want to make, and so far can't.

That's put a night sight on my Poly PD. It is my bedside gun and fiber won't do much good at 3am.

Wish some manufacturer would get with the program!!

The biggest problem I had with the factory gun was the Ribber grip. The rubber on it is very "tacky". Anytime I sit or bend it would hold my shirt to the highest position my shirt had reached. (I carry an IWB on my back.) Should I forget this and my wife not notice it, I am now flashing my gun. So I ordered a factory set of black wood grips. I am not sure how I will like the grip when shooting, I hope to find out next week. The sight on mine seems dingy compared to other Tru-Glo style sights I have seen. I wouldn't mind replacing it with a new one to see if it is better and adding a Laserlyte CK-SWAT laser. If you read about most shootings, most ammo fired never hits it target. You can claim all day long that you practice enough but I don't believe it. Even police involved shooting have a very low hit rate. If someone that is payed to be armed, has to qualify repeatedly with their weapon and is in high adrenaline situations on an almost daily basis has that much trouble in a firefight, what are my chances?

So far the only thing I've done to my Poly PD was to paint the rear sight nubs neon orange....wow! what a difference! I also ordered some Hogue grips just to try, frankly I like the ribber grip.
