Never going to buy another long barrel pistol? Ok, now it's four, just got a Ruger Super Redhawk in .357. If you think the standard version is heavy you want to try the long barrel version. Pics coming soon...
I know what you mean there I am a bit chicken when it comes to that to , its my own fault for watching the operation on TV.

I am interested in the requirements in the U.K. I take it that there is a 12 in barrel requirement. What would the total length of the firearm be required to be?
Might Rossi be able to bring in the Ranch Hand? Rossi USA
Taurus PT-908
Taurus m605
Have never cared for long barreled hand guns, too unwieldy
Might as well carry a more accurate 16 barrel carbine.
But each to his own.![]()

The requirement for a 'hand gun' is that it has a minimum barrel lenght of 12" and an over all minimum length of 24".
Hence the 12" barrel and iron work hanging off the backof the grip. However, there are other configurations, IE, 18" barrel with no iron work, as the grip and cylinder make up the other 6 inches. Not a fan of that configuration.
Yes, the ranch hand is legal in the UK, but I can't bring myself to pay £800+ for a chopped up rifle!
