I really like the look of that carbine! The restrictions to semi-automatic not so much. Your situation in Britain tends to make me feel that our draconian (for the USA) laws in Illinois aren't so bad, but should serve as a caution for the whole of the nation to jealously guard our rights whenever they are threatened.

The practiced rate of fire that can be achieved even with the lever reset is so similar to our unrestricted semi-autos is the best argument that the laws are many times enacted just to make the anti-gunners "feel good".

I like the forend, I think I will have one of those. Are they from SGC, and if they are what are they called? Is the bipod mount part of it? Also, going to show my ignorance here, what is that thing on the bottom of the mag?

I notice the barrel looks different, mine has a flash hider on the end.

The forend is a SGC quick release forend. Its nice but a little heavy. The barrel is his new one he's using. Its basically a 12.5" barrel hevy profile with the last couple of inches countersunk. It prevents lead build up like some people reported if none jacketed ammo is used with the flash hider modle. The bipod lug is the one that comes with a Versa-pod bipod and can be removed with a spanner and the thing on the bottom of the mag is just a magpul mag assist loop.
