Great pics, and well written Cimmaron!

Hopefully this will fix my 'light strike" problem.

I need help very badly. I have a PT 24/7 Pro compact 9mm.

I disaasembled the firing pin, striker assembly and am now at the point of reassembly. I got the firing pin return spring back on and the firing pin, but can't remember how or where the cocker indicator(red part) goes back on.

I read Skifasts post but am obviously even dumber then he says he says he is since I still can't figure it out.

Could some one possibly post a picure?

Thanks much.

Thanks.

The spring faces the rear of the gun.

What spring are you referring to? I only have two springs; the return spring and captive firing pin spring. Did I already lose a spring?

This is a follow up to my prior posts. I thought I figured out how the decocker button goes back in, although I still can't find a spring for it, but now after reassembly the slide goes to far bac so thatI can't put on the safety on and the decocker button does not show.

What did I do wrong?

if a smith c an do it under 50 bucks then id say go ahead if you absolutely are not confident in doing this yourself.  if he wants a fortune to do it for you, id say swallow hard and tackle it youself. worst case scenario you cant get it back together/lose a spring, and then you will have to take it to the "smith" anyway.
