I noticed that your PT1911 came with the two dot Novak sights, whats the sight picture with them do you hold a 6:00 O'Clock sight picture or do you hold a point of impact sight picture, I called Taurus and they said that the Novak's two dot are available at an extra cost but if they hold a POA sight picture I'll pass mine came with the Heine straight eight POA very hard to get used to them front dot covers bullseye and I've always used a 6:00 O'Clock please reply

Thanks for the offer but my problem is I've been shooting 6:00 O'Clock for 30+ years and you can probably teach an old dog new tricks but it doesn't mean he'll like it, the straight eights are quick but there not worth shit past 25 yards and by what your telling me the Novak's are the same ,you cover your bullseye with the dot? are your Tritiums the same, I've been thinking of buying same direct from Novak and I think they can set them any way I want, if you don't mind could you tell me how much and if they installed?

...I haven't shot the Tritium as of yet...I just installed them last night. But they appear to be the same height as the stock Novak 2 dots.

I got these direct from Novaks = $152 shipped....another member here got them from Brownells but I think their price went up compared to Novaks....

I've already shared the grip panel on the right side of Bully - my initials in the shape of a rattlesnake - but I realized I haven't shared the less than PC panel from the left side.

Allow me to correct that oversight.

Butt, if that setup were compatible with my SS model, I'd steal your design, and to hell with my neighbors!  Thumb

I don't know that much about other options, but I can say that I love my Smith & Alexander magwell.

Fits nice, works great, looks like it's a part of the gun. The top of the mag baseplate needs to be cut down a bit to make up the difference in how deep the overall mag well ends up being.

Cuban?

Did you have yours hard chromed? Mine seems a little duller color stainless than what yours is.

Well, my PT1911 ss is also not polished in any way. I was wondering this too. I've seen examples of the slide having a polish (not mirror) and also the sides of the frame, but not the whole frame.

Now if I can get the dang grip screw out that was stripped from the factory without damaging anything I can put my pearce rubber grip insert and my double diamond cocobolo grips on the gun. About the only thing I know to do is to drill out the screw but I dont even know if this will work or not.

Go back to Brownell's 1911 section.  They sell a small kit for just such a problem.  It includes a Tap, and the over sized bushing to replace the one that stripped out.  It only costs a few bucks and works like a dream.
