Hi everyone,  I only have one Taurus at this time.  I have done some work on it to make it "mine" but I still need to pick some brains.  I look forward to learning from you guys.

Good stuff first
Looks great, accurate, reliable, 9# DA trigger, 2# SA trigger.  I love it!

Now the rest of the story
Purchased new had a 20#plus DA trigger, after approx. 1200 dry fires it was worse.  I thought the trigger would break off. Time to disassemble, investigate and fix.

Grip screw stripped. Used knife under grip panel to put tension on screw to remove.

Stock locating pin not equidistant through frame, long end badly mushroomed.  Cut off mushroom and removed sharp edge.

Front lower side plate screw assembly installed wrong.  Straightened spring & Re-assembled correctly.

Sear pin protruding through left side of hammer--cut a groove in frame-- from hammer forward position back into the square cylinder release pocket.  Shortened and refitted securely.

Heavy burr on bore at rear of forcing cone area from rifling button?  Filed and stoned off, broke sharp edges.

Hammer and trigger springs replaced with weaker ones.
All heavy rub areas in action cleaned up and polished.
Trigger over travel stop and wood grips added.

I called Taurus to order the grip screw and side plate screw assembly.  I was told they weren’t in stock and I should send the revolver back to them. The service guy said they would return it to me in the same condition it left the factory.  I declined.

Thanks for the bio on the gun.

It certainly is a nice revolver.

The wooden grips really give a classic look.
