Ever since I've been shooting, I get caught up in trade fever.  Just when I get comfortable with my personal arsenal, there's always one more thing I need to have.   When I was younger, and working full time, I just saved up a bought one.  Now that I'm older, I'm more conservative with my cash - - - - - so I trade.

I bought an LCP last year, didn't like it, and traded it in for an LCR.

The LCR had a crappy trigger pull, and has been replaced with a "keeper"  ---- an 851UL.  And for a while, I was a happy camper.

Now, my Ruger P95 is making me unhappy in that  - - - - - - I could trade it in on a Glock or a Beretta 92.  Never owned either one and am getting the urge.  So the Ruger will probably go.

I wonder if there's somekind of pills you can take?    I'm guessing I'll keep trading.

For me it is a check book balance that reads $"0"!!

Bummer is I have not started trading guns I bought, I just keep buying more, and I buy new, not used.

It's only a sickness if you lose money with each trade.
If you break even or make a little bit, it's an investment Smiley
If you just want it, it makes you feel good, relaxes you, it's therapy!

This is a good question. Some shrink needs to look at it and come up a good name for some kind of "syndrome"

Maybe "Gottahaveititis".

I guess you could call it a sickness.  I like the word affliction.  Only alleviated (temporarily) by, trading and buying more firearms.

I have had to take a break from buying for a little while as house repairs and
improvements have taken priority.

I hope to return to amassing my arsenol soon.

Now maybe you are on to something BUTT. We could get Obama to force the insurance companies to cover it while the government pays us a full ride pension! Cheesy

Lil... Not bad but I am not sure I want a firearm decided on by committee with politically correct ammo. Smiley

Sounds like they might give me a pink squirt gun!

My problem is I don't trade I just keep buying. I just had to ask forgiveness from the wife again this weekend...  Yes I do believe it is better to ask forgiveness than to ask permission!

I wouldn't call it a "sickness" since that implies it's something that needs to be cured. I'm perfectly content to live with the "problem".

If it is a sickness then I've had it since I was 12 or 13 so I don't think it will kill you but it is definetly not cureable.

Trading has been going on since the birth of our nation, but has diminished over the years, it takes special skills to pull it off today
