if i remember right. here in ok if you enter a building that has signs posted. and you are carrying. if they know you are carrying and call the cops its just a trespassing charge. but it is one that can bring a review of your sda permit. but if your not in the building when the cops show up. and they dont have physical evidence that you were carrying inside. like say video of yo with your gun exposed. then they cant file charges on you. just say "no i didnt"!

In Michigan that would be a misdemeanor. I value my CPL and would protect it by not patronizing their place of business.
I'd go to a Starbuck's instead and order a vente mocha and thank them for their corporate support of our rights.

Luckily in Florida any no guns allowed sign doesn't hold legal value. If you are asked to leave then you need to go quickly, so you don't get trespassing with a firearm.

Yup. One of the nice things of living here. They have to ask you to leave which means you have to basically tell them you are carrying. I think this should be the rule nationwide.

Typical of the times we live in. The governmental powers want to make
sure that citizens have no sense of self reliance whatsoever. The sad
thing about this is that so many people buy into this because they are
too lazy to exercise their personal freedoms or too intimidated to stand
up against the powers that be. I have a CCW permit because I like having
a sense of control over my personal safety and not having to rely upon
security guards or the police to take care of me if I should have to defend
my family, property or my life.

I don't know how dangerous it can be AT the bingo hall, but coming home from one can suck. Seems like I might have shared this story here once but can't remember so here goes.....

A couple years ago I went to bed before my wife (unusual). Her and my oldest daughter were watching a movie in the family room with the front door open when she heard my neighbor calling out for help and to call 911. She ran out to see what was going on and he said someone just tried robbing him at gunpoint. She ran in to wake me and I was up, shorts on, 12 gauge in hand and loaded in about 10 seconds flat! This was before I owned any guns but had my Dad's shotgun there due to some problems we were having with thieves.

Anyway, the theory is that someone knew he was coming home from bingo (he went that same night every week for years) and wanted any of his winnings. He stood his ground and threw his wallet and keys on his roof instead of giving them over. The guy ran and that's when my wife and I got involved. He ended up having a panic attack and went to the hospital with heart attack symptons. Luckily he was ok, but I didn't sleep much for a while knowing someone potentially from my own neighborhood was willing to put a gun in someones face for their belongings.

There are no safe neighborhoods, no safe malls, no safe schools, no safe government buildings, and certainly no safe towns. Experience should tell us that when you have Columbine, the CIA shootings, the mall shootings and the news story about the quiet little neighborhood where some fella went crazy with a gun or snatch a child. This ain't the Kansas of the movies. This is good vs evil and evil often carries a gun. Shouldn't good do the same to defend themselves?

About two-three years ago when I lived in Pensacola Florida a guy walked into a bingo hall, shot a hole in the ceiling (shotgun) and tried to rob everyone there.  One of the attendants had a CCW and shot the robber killing him.  No charges were filed.  I would want to carry like you as sometimes the payouts can be big, but always in cash.

My point exactly. That could have turned out bad just like that fella who went into a church a year or so ago only to find out that an woman there was packing. Bad day for him too. If more folks packed, less bad guys would be emboldened to take their chances in public.

I would like to see a national CC standard that all states must adhere to. This situation is crazy with every state making up a different set of rules and interpretations of what basically is a federal right, not a state right. States should have no say about anything in our national constitution aother than compliance therewith.

Do you really want the feds in control of firearms rules in this country?  Look at what is going on Taxes, Health, and Cap & Trade?  With the current group, that want guns out of our hands anyway, why even think about giving them the chance to pull all CCW, and possibly collect all guns, with a federal mandate.

well ,of course my idea back years ago when SKYJACKING was the rage for every idiot that had a problem was instead of SKY MARSHALLS and inspections to prevent people from carrying guns on board was to simply issue every passenger a single shot pistol when they boarded the plane.
Now lets see  some group of fools try to skyjack the plane.

I want the feds to establish "THE" rule that every state must follow and, to me, it has to be a straight forward license to carry. Either you have one or you don't. One federal background check and one license that travels with you no matter what state you go to or live in. It's our right as a citizen to carry. Where do the states get off thinking they can make up their own rules? It's not Constitutional.

That all being said, I don't see it happening with this group of clowns on either side of the aisle. But I do believe it is needed to establish once and for all our right to possess and carry our firearms. At least while the Supreme Court is still favorable to the idea. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to go anywhere in the country without having to worry about this town's marshall's interpretation? One standard, one licensing program, one set of rules. Seems the only way to go.

HMM! Just a though here now!
I would guess that an automobile is much deadlier than a firearm, and i will go out on a limb here and say more people are killed by automobiles than firearms every day, week, month, year, decade!
so I would suggets that the federal government begin by requiring that every time you get a drivers liscence renewed you must take a drivers test.
then if that goes well perhaps we could move on to the feds setting rules for gun permits.
wonder what they are going to do with those law enforcement people that can't pass the gun permit test?
these are not powers that are given to the Federal Government to my knowledge!
 a FREE RIDE maybe?
