I finally gonna pickup a taurus this week. Been looking at the pt 111 for some time now but the guy at the gun store has thrown me off now by telling me to buy the 24/7 Compact  in 9mm..  I'm gonna purchase this friday. Which one is the better gun? Any info you guys can provide would be appreciated.....

I'd settle for either one!   Grin
I have a MilPro Pt138 and am very pleased with it...but the ammo is so blasted high!  I understand the 9mm ammo is very inexpensive in comparison.

You should have several responses to your query from those who own both guns.  Good luck!

I own and carry a PT111 Pro daily. I've handled the 24/7 compact and find it a bit heavier than the PT111. Either gun though depending on for home or personal carry based on your ability to carry comfortable will decide.

Oh and my wife carries a PT911 as a purse gun which is about the same size as the 24/7 compact.

As a PT111mp owner, I'd pick 24/7c.  Neither better, hardly any difference, Rail on 24/7c, with 13 rnd mag it's slightly longer in grip than PT111mp but not enough that you'd ever notice if you didn't have them side by side.  17rd mags with gap filler fits better than same mag & filler piece on PT111mp, but does function fine.

i own both. i carry both. and for day to day carry its the pt111 all day. the pro c is a fine pistol and is not bad to carry with the 13round mag. but there are measurement differences in almost all areas. and the milpro is smaller. and you only gain 1 rnd out of the 24/7. now take into consideration that my pt111 is a california model. so the trigger is dao. which i prefer for carry. my pro c is a ds model so when i carry its decocked. but the gen3 non ca pt111 is single action with double strike capability. when you carry its cocked and locked or nothing in the chamber. the ca model gives you another option in the choice you have. now it comes with 10rnd mags but you can buy 12 rnd mags from taurus. and use the 10's for the range

My wifey carries the 24/7C Smiley

No issues except when you get new mags you usually have to adjust the feed lips slightly to make 'em work properly.
