Ignore feature

would it be possible to get a ignore feature added to the board?
i know there is already a feature in place to ignore PM'.

i'd like to see it extended to posts, i've seen this on other boards where it will simply show any posts by those on the ignore list as blank.

I moderate a forum with that feature and I think its a great feature with a downfall. If you ignore someone, its going to take a lot of the conversation out of posts. If you're ignoring a bigtime poster,  you might miss a lot in the discussion.

Sometimes I see a topic I want to ignore for a while, but then get bored and go back to it to find it has become a good topic.

Also, the ability to ignore entire forums (IE Taurus 1911's; the 700's etc.). My particular interest is in the Millennium Pro PT111 series & I would like to hide all else.

If you want to ignore somebody, just ignore them. I don't get why you need a special function.

There are several sections here I never look at.
